Operating temperature
The chip temperature of processor or LPDDR4 might get hotter. The max. case temperature of i.MX 8M Plus is specified with +95°C (consumer) and +105°C (industrial).
A higher refresh-rate-setting is needed when case temperature of LPDDR4 is expected to rise above +85°C.
Temperature of eMMC influence the achievable Data Retention.
