SBC-MX6 (A62)

Depending on the configuration and following revisions, the board’s features are subject to change. For detailed information on hardware specifications, please visit www.seco.com.

SBC-MX6 is a low-end Single Board Computer with NXP i.MX6 Processor, that exploits the potential of a configurable expansion connector to fully meet any configuration flexibility needs. This SBC is ideal for digital signage, infotainment applications, and in all general purpose contexts requiring multimedia capabilities and high performance for the reproduction of relevant and/or engaging contents.

For ordering purposes, the SBC-MX6 is referred to by its base code, “A62”.

What will I find in my module?

Off-the-shelf products are shipped with a standard in-house-developed software.
The definition of standard, in this case, is “the environment which SECO adopts for validation”.
Anyway, custom in-house-developed software with different defaults can be built.
Contact your reference sales for further information.

What can I do now?

What are the features of the module?

The SBC-A62-J allows to directly access to some of the features of i.MX6 processor through the pin multiplexing. On-board there is a dedicated 32-pin expansion connector (J8, see Fig. 1) which is a standard dual-way male pin header.
Below is a description of the pinout configuration.

Clea OS

Starting from Linux Kernel version 5.10, the Board Support Package (BSP) for this board is fully integrated within Clea OS, the operating system for the All-In-One IIot platform CLEA developed by SECO and based on Yocto. Clea OS is intended to provide the highest standards in terms of security and stability thanks to features like OTA (Over the Air) updates, double partitions, and fallback procedures. Clea OS integrates a Device Manager to communicate with the Cloud and allows a family of products to be managed as a fleet.

Source code

The source code for Clea OS can be found at the following Gitlab organization. To build a complete BSP image from source, you can follow the readme of the repo manifest.

Binaries

The binaries (U-Boot, Linux Kernel, Yocto image) associated with the various CleaOS releases can be found at the following Release page.

Legacy Software

This section contains releases (source code and binaries) for older BSPs and Yocto images.
